Fefu and seven of her closest friends -- bright, unique women -– gather for a weekend in the country to plan a program for the educational society to which they belong. Along the way, they explore with frivolity and anguish their relationships with men, with other women, and, most importantly, with each other. Audience members move with the action as they are invited into a house, inside which the characters have secrets they withhold even as they try to reveal themselves.
