A family enveloped by the dustbowl washes clean on Easter Sunday.
Two couples.
Poker around the kitchen table. Planning Easter dinner.
Remembering daffodils in the garden. Mending shirts. Boiling eggs.
Trying to bury the past.
Outside, a dust storm rages.

“So much gone, that what was left hardly looked like a place a person could call home. There was a point when even I thought things couldn’t get any worse. Then it did get worse. Again and again. But after a while, there was nothing left that could surprise us, and that was the beauty of it all.” -Molly, Holy Days
