"I think Lemonade grew out of an exploration of what memory is about and if people really remember anything. I think we're living in an age where people are not really held responsible or culpable -- there's no bottom line anymore. People are able to perform unspeakable deeds and acts and never be held accountable for it. So I think it's about memory, it's about accoutability; I think it's about what people mean to do versus what they do. I think it's also about love and the distortions of love, and how people get attached and the basis of attachment." - Eve Ensler
