Echo Theatre and Visions for Change co-produce this reading, led by Denise Lee, ahead of the midterm elections. Ten-minute plays explore democracy in America and invite audiences to consider how we listen, disagree, and share a civic future. A few short plays will be read, followed by a discussion.

The event will be held in the Interfaith Peace Chapel, the building across from the main sanctuary.

Women+ On The Edge of Democracy is an initiative encouraging conversation about American democracy initiatied by the Flynn Center (Jay Wahl, Executive Director) in Vermont and The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize (Leslie Swackhamer, Executive Director).

The event is free to the public and will feature selected works from the anthology’s 36 playwrights.
