
AN ECHO THEATRE WRITING WORKSHOP
Inviting Creativity & Generative Writing
with Mia Chung
Playwright Mia Chung’s plays include You for Me for You, Catch as Catch Can, and This Exquisite Corpse. Her work has been produced by Steppenwolf, Royal Court Theatre, the National Theatre Center of Korea, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre among many others. She is a member of the Huntington Theatre playwright fellows, New Dramatists, and is a proud alumni of the Ma-Yi Writers Lab. She attended Yale University (BA), University of Dublin, Trinity College (M.Phil.), and Brown University (MFA).
This three-hour workshop provides writers of all levels with practical tools to push anxiety and self-doubt aside, as well as empowering them with clear and specific prompts to generate writing.
Saturday, July 31st from 2-5pm CST
$25 +.85 fee / Via Zoom Meeting
- Attendees may write digitally on computer, but writing by
hand with a pen and notebook are strongly suggested.
- Attendees are invited to come with two questions about
writing, writing for theatre, the creative process, etc.
- A workshop break will be provided.
Maximum number of writers in this course is limited in order to ensure that each participant has a meaningful experience.
