Producer & Host

This spring, Echo Theatre will be holding combined auditions with other theater companies, helping you to get seen by more directors and producers.

The audition format will be a single one-minute monologue, but there's a twist:

If you choose, you can be "on book" when you deliver your monologue.
When you are done, you will be given some direction, and asked to try an adjustment to all, or part of the monologue.

We aren't looking for finished performances. And we realize we will not see your entire range in 60 seconds.

Here's what we are looking for:

Did you make some clear choices?
Are you able to incorporate direction?

That's it. Everything else is for callbacks. Those callbacks will be scheduled separately by each participating theater.

Auditions will be March or April 2026. Each appointment will be half an hour, and will include several actors.

For a 1pm appointment, you may be seen at 1pm, or as late as 1:25.

Your electronic submission will be made available to the participating directors and producers. You will not need to bring paper headshots and resumes.

Slots will be assigned in the order of your submission. A submission now may not guarantee you a slot in the live auditions next time (we have many folks on the waiting list) but submit anyway.

All submitted actors are included in an online directory available to the producers.

Future appointments will also be allocated based on when you submitted, so get in the queue now.

If you submitted before, but want to update your info, submit again. You will still keep your earlier place in line.
